- Mohau Nkota is quickly becoming one of South Africa’s most exciting young wingers, a player whose journey from the Northern Cape to international football tells a story of talent, discipline, and belief.
- Born and raised in Kimberley, Northern Cape, Nkota’s football story began on the local fields with Dalton Brothers, a community team where his natural ability first stood out. Even at that early stage, his pace, direct attacking style, and confidence on the ball made him a player to watch. He was fearless with the ball at his feet and always eager to take on defenders.
- His talent earned him a move to the development structures of Orlando Pirates, one of South Africa’s biggest football clubs. There, Nkota refined his game in the PSL Diski Challenge, where he impressed with his attacking runs, sharp decision-making, and ability to stretch defences.
- Nkota’s hard work eventually paid off when he was promoted to the Orlando Pirates senior team. Playing at the top level of South African football was a major milestone, not only for him but also for the Northern Cape, a province not often associated with producing top-flight football stars.
- In July 2025, Nkota took a bold step in his career when he signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq FC. The move opened a new chapter, placing him on a global stage where he now competes against international talent and continues to grow his game.
