Siwelele FC’s losing fever ended when they made history by winning the first-ever Bloem derby against Marumo Gallants at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday afternoon.
We are not under pressure at all
They came to the game having lost six out of eight games since their arrival in the Betway Premiership campaign this season. Their latest loss was against Orlando Pirates at Toyota Stadium, also in Bloemfontein, last Tuesday.
Coach Lehlohonolo Seema said his team is not under pressure but will play hard to get the great results as they have ended their spate of losses.
“As a team, we are not under pressure, we are still watering and a bit far to cook, but we are going to play by heart to get positive results, not like other teams whose coaches are cooking, but we will come alright, it’s just a matter of time,” he said.
We won’t be in the relegation zone
Seema said his seasonal goal is to stay in the PSL this season and they will never be in the relegation zone.
“One of the team’s biggest mandates is to be on the PSL next season to secure the status and as a coach, I make a promise that this team won’t be in the relegation zone at the end of this season.

“As a team, we will put our all in every game, even in the cup games, but our main focus is not to win any Cup but to be in the PSL. I am not saying we won’t be serious, but we will give it our all,” he said.
Supporters at the stadium were singing one song for both clubs; they were singing Siwelele sa Masele and Siwelele sa Marumo while dancing and chanting on the stands.
Fans celebrate both teams
Some supporters were holding placards that said the game between Siwelele and Marumo is a family matter. It was no wonder that when Siwelele scored, all fans at the stadium celebrated, but when Marumo missed chances, all supporters were moaning.
Siwelele’s next game will be away next Saturday against Orlando Pirates for their Carling Knockout Cup round 16 game. The million-dollar question is: Will they pass through against the Buccaneers? – @NewsSA_Online.
