There will be very few people in the world who would not cheer Iran up for daring to stand up to the psychopathic Trump and oil-thirsty US imperialism.
AZAPO is part of those political forces that stand with Iran against this imperialist aggression. A unipolar world is undesirable. Substantive multilateralism is the way to go.
Though they would ideologically support the bombing and destruction of Iran by the US and Israel, even the NATO countries are embarrassed and distancing themselves from Trump’s illegal war against Iran.
Sanctions Fail to Drain Russia’s Strong Power
Trump treated these European countries like rubbish during the Russo-Ukraine conflict, from which the US profited by selling arms, and hoping that the conflict would economically and militarily drain Russia.
About 20 sanctions were imposed to squeeze life out of the Russian economy. All that failed. On the contrary, the Russian economy thrived, and its war of attrition against Ukraine became largely successful and strengthened the military backbone of Russia.
Kidnapping Maduro for Oil, Undermine China
The US bully went to Venezuela and kidnapped the Head of State and First Lady, while stealing the oil of that country. While the greedy US was thirsty for the Venezuelan oil, it also meant to starve both China and Russia of that greasy advantage.
Contrary to what some spectators wish for, countries don’t jump into war in a knee-jerk reaction in defence of an ally. A lot more factors are taken into account in international politics and diplomacy. In that regard, Russia made some attempt to arm Venezuela, while China did not seem to be motivated to lift even a finger in defence of its interests. China generally arm and re-arms itself not to fight but to stay out of wars.
A Sophisticated Strategy Against Imperialism
The erratic Trump should have known that Iran was preparing against the US-Israel aggression for the past two decades. It observed how the Iraqi centralised military command was crushed in a few weeks by the US. They saw how the Taliban in Afghanistan resisted and defeated US imperialism over two decades. They learned from the mistakes of both Iraq and Syria.
Iran moved with speed and manufactured stockpiles of arms and kept them in inaccessible underground storage. They built different layers of military forces and decentralised the armed forces into about 31 autonomous segments, each with its own command, territory and arms.
This military strategy was designed to ensure that the armed forces would survive and endure even when the central command was crushed. That’s why Iran was able to retaliate within an hour of the killing of its Head of State and about 44 top leaders.
Iran Prepared for a Marathon Battle
Without getting into the nitty-gritty of the war, Iran quickly adopted the stance of a war of attrition, while the US and Israel were ready and prepared only for a week’s war, in which they are experienced. It now turns out that they were not ready for Iran’s marathon.
They are being embarrassingly outrun and outmuscled by Iran. More than that, they never expected that Iran’s firepower would breach the sophisticated air defence systems of the US and Israel. Iran has destroyed all those and exhausted them by using dummy drones in the beginning.
Meanwhile, Russia and China are fingered by the US for supplying Iran with intelligence to pinpoint military targets for Iran. At any rate, these two superpowers had delivered stockpiles of modern arms and defence systems to Iran in anticipation of this imperialist aggression.

A Bombing Campaign that Shocked Trump
In an unprecedented move, Iran has bombed to the ground 7 US military bases in the Persian Gulf, including the UK’s in Cyprus. Three US fighter jets were downed by Iran in Kuwait. The US ridiculously tried to blame some “friendly fire”. About 7 more refuelling aircraft were either shot down or destroyed with loss of personnel. That excludes the initial 8 US soldiers who perished under Iran’s fire. The numbers are believed to be far more than the official number supplied by the US.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is believed to have perished along with his brother under Iran’s bombardment. Israel insists that he’s still alive, though he has since vanished from the usual official engagements and noise-making.
Trump Mobilises Iran’s Allies Against Iran
As expected, Iran has closed the Straight of Hormuz with the effect that 20% of oil is cut off from the global share. The US is way too scared to go and escort the oil tankers of other countries as it promised. It now mobilises NATO, China and Russia to help. They all turned the arrogant US down.
The Gulf countries are now considering cutting ties with the US. They thought they were safer by siding with the US. They now believe they are safer away from the US.
The Ayatollah Fighting From the Grave
Here’s an important message for South Africa. Iran says it closed the Straight of Hormuz only to hostile countries. This is an opportunity for South Africa to engage its BRICS partner Iran for safe passage. That eventuality stands to be doubted because South Africa was too scared to take advantage of Russia’s cheap oil. Anyway, it seems like Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is waging a more formidable fight from the grave. Let it be.
