Centurion, South Africa – Mahindra South Africa recently kicked off its third decade in the country with a bang, hosting the inaugural Mahindra Fusion Fest at SunBet Arena.
With over 7,000 guests in attendance, the event celebrated two successful decades and was a vibrant testament to South Africa’s dynamic culture and Mahindra’s commitment to its growth in the region. The Fusion Fest showcased the youthful spirit of the “Vibrant Rainbow Nation” through a unique blend of music, fashion, and art.
The evening was highlighted by the presence of the Deputy President of South Africa, Paul Mashatile, who emphasised the importance of cultural unity and Mahindra’s role in the nation’s automotive landscape.

“Cultural fusion has the capacity to overcome division and increase understanding among individuals from various backgrounds,” he stated, pointing out the diverse musical scene incorporating traditional African rhythms alongside contemporary genres.
As Mahindra has steadily expanded its footprint in South Africa since its entry in 2004, it has become one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the country. With over 100,000 customers, 95 dealerships, and a significant presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, Mahindra has made a lasting impact through investment in local assembly, dealer expansion, and customer training programs.



The brand has launched notable models like the Scorpio and Scorpio-N, which have solidified its status for producing authentic and dependable SUVs. The Scorpio-N, a recipient of several South African Car of the Year awards, showcases Mahindra’s dedication to creating vehicles tailored for the local market.
The Fusion Fest showcased Mahindra’s ethos of “Discover the X,” representing exploration, self-expression, and breaking boundaries—ideas that resonate with its SUV lineup and corporate mission. The event included eclectic musical performances, fashion influenced by automotive design, and live art displays, uniting the community to celebrate creativity and innovation.
One of the festival’s highlights was unveiling the “Discover the X Line,” a fashion collection by celebrated designer Thula Sindi. This collection captures the boldness and individuality of South African youth and is inspired by the new compact SUV, the XUV 3XO. Additionally, three exclusive Thula Sindi Edition XUV 3XO SUVs were showcased, further merging the worlds of fashion and automotive design.
