Ma’am, grab your mic and moisturise those edges – because the Metro FM Music Awards 2025 just dropped their host line-up and it’s giving main character energy only. I don’t know who planned this roll-out, but they clearly said, “Let’s shut the country down.”
Let’s start at the top – because that’s where LootLove and Scoop Makhathini are sitting: on thrones. These two are about to host the most glamorous, iconic, and outrageously star-packed event of the year and I am here to report, whisper, scream, and sip every ounce of the tea.
LootLove, SA’s own goddess of cool, is returning like the queen she is. And guess what? She’s not coming alone. She’s got the one and only Scoop Makhathini beside her, and let me tell you – this is not just hosting; this is a power move.
“The MMAs 2024 were a truly monumental and unforgettable experience for me,” LootLove said.
“I’m beyond excited to share the stage with none other than my homeboy, Siyabonga Ngwekazi.”
And Ma’am, we are too. The chemistry? Already sizzling. The walk-ins? About to be legendary. The outfits? Don’t even speak to me if you’re not ready.
Scoop, ever the poet and purveyor of vibes, added:
“I’m thrilled to collaborate with Luthando for the first time… I’m grateful to Metro FM for providing a platform for us to showcase our skills and talents.”

Skills and talents?! Ma’am, we are about to witness an entire masterclass.
But wait – there’s more, and I need you to breathe for this part because the Black Carpet is about to turn into a runway-meets-reality-show courtesy of Anele Zondo (rapper, model, goddess) and my girl Mpumi Mlambo. You already know they’ll be dragging secrets out of celebs before they even hit the stage. Fashion flops? Surprise plus-ones? Silent beefs? They’ll catch it all – and guess who’ll be standing right there, pretending not to eavesdrop but hearing everything? Me.
Now, let’s head backstage to the Green Room, where things will be even juicier. Metro FM royalty Dineo Ranaka will be joined by rapper heartthrob L-Tido, and Ma’am… the post-win interviews are going to be hot. Somebody’s going to cry. Somebody’s going to overshare. Somebody’s ex might show up. And I will report it live and unfiltered.

Oh, and don’t think it ends with trophies. No ma’am. This is a two-for-one experience: a music awards show and a full-on music festival. Master KG, Black Motion, K.O., and – wait for it – Zee Nxumalo are hitting that stage.

Upper Tier: R250 for 2
Golden Circle: R850 — because, yes, I am Golden Circle, Ma’am.
The countdown is on. The hair is booked. The lashes are long. The secrets are simmering. And trust me when I say: if you’re not at Mbombela on May 3rd, you’re not in the loop – you’re the headline.
Now let me go find out who isn’t speaking to whom before this thing even starts. Stay messy, stay moisturised.
