Johannesburg, my darlings… what a weekend! The greens of LIV Golf South Africa 2026 at Steyn City were not just about birdies and bogeys – they were about style, celebrity sightings and a whole lot of ice-cold attitude.
More than 95,000 fans flocked to the historic first South African edition of the global golf spectacle, but trust me – Zee was not only watching the golf swings. I was watching the celebrity swings, too.
And the real lifestyle host of the weekend? None other than Castle Lite, who came through with blazing entertainment, music stages and a big reveal: Castle Lite Draught in a Can. Yes, honey-draught, but make it portable.
Now you know Zee doesn’t usually flirt with draught, but when you’re invited into a room packed with celebrities and icy cans flowing, sometimes you just have to say: “Pour me a taste.”
Celebrity watch: The good, the glam and the confusing
First sighting that nearly made me drop my can – actress Zola Nombona.
Sis arrived looking dangerously good in what my eyes still can’t decide was a tennis skirt or a golf skirt. Maybe the draught blurred my judgement… but Zola, darling, next time don’t just look at me – come say hi with a hug.
Then the music energy kicked in with global superstar DJ Black Coffee setting the tone across the venue. Suddenly, the golf course felt less like Augusta and more like a luxury day party with clubs instead of champagne flutes.
Springbok legend Akona Ndungane also made an appearance – stylish, calm and collected as always. Zee’s verdict? Amazing… but just a little too composed for a party like this. Loosen up next time, champ!
And can we talk about the always-charismatic Younga Chief? My guy looked like he was seconds away from grabbing a microphone and turning the
tee box into a concert stage. Relax – those golfers are rich, but they can still vibe.
Fashion patrol (Zee was eatching!)
Actor Tabang Molaba looked ridiculously handsome as usual, although he had that classic “where exactly am I supposed to stand?” look.
Honestly, Tabang, you and media personality Zakhele Pasa should arrive as a duo next time – both of you always look slightly lost at these fancy events.
Then there was the very fresh and glowing Anele Papu, who seemed to have discovered a new level of influencer glow. My only question: are those teeth even real or sponsored by the algorithm?
Meanwhile, Zee nearly spilt her drink spotting rugby royalty Pieter-Steph du Toit, who helped unveil Castle Lite’s new draught can alongside rapper Juicy Jay in a dramatic trophy-case moment that had the crowd buzzing.
Speaking of Juicy Jay… word around the VIP lounge was that the man arrived like a king with escorts, only to later be spotted quietly ordering an e-hailing ride.
