The China South Africa Youth Federation (CSAYF) warmly welcomes the successful convening and positive outcomes of the 9th China–South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC), co-chaired in South Africa on 26 March 2026.
The BNC remains a cornerstone platform for strengthening the All-Round Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa. This latest session reaffirmed the deepening of bilateral relations, with a strong focus on advancing cooperation across key sectors, including trade, investment,
innovation, green development, and people-to-people exchanges.
As the China South Africa Youth Federation, we are particularly encouraged by the renewed commitment to youth development, skills exchange, and inclusive economic participation, which are essential to shaping a shared future of prosperity between our nations.
The outcomes of the 9th BNC build on ongoing efforts to expand economic cooperation, including frameworks aimed at improving market access, boosting industrialisation, and creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs and innovators in both countries.
We commend the leadership of both governments for their continued dedication to strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering mutual respect, solidarity, and sustainable development. The alignment of national priorities and long-term development frameworks reflects a shared vision for a more equitable and prosperous Global South.
The Federation reaffirms its commitment to: Supporting youth-led initiatives arising from BNC agreements, facilitating exchange programs and innovation platforms and strengthening collaboration between South African and Chinese young people
leaders, entrepreneurs, and institutions.
“We believe that youth are not only beneficiaries but active drivers of this strategic partnership, and we stand ready to contribute meaningfully to the implementation of the BNC outcomes,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, in a separate matter, the China–South Africa Youth Federation expressed gratitude and honour to be invited to attend the South Africa Investment Conference, represented by its President General, Luyanda Jonas.
On the sidelines of the event, the President had the privilege of engaging with the Minister of International Relations, reaffirming the Federation’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
The President also participated in a series of media interviews, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in advancing cooperation and sustainable development between China and South Africa.
