So many people believe that Christianity is a poor religion, and when you are a believer, you should be poor to show that you are a true believer.
They make examples of Jesus riding a donkey into Jerusalem. They also quote the scriptures out of context and say “ask and you shall be given “, inferring that you must be a beggar. However, the Bible doesn’t say you should beg people but God because he is your father.
Jesus, when he was riding on a donkey he was just symbolising his humility by washing the feet of the disciples. We grew up seeing priests riding bicycles and a lot of people thought Christianity and poverty were related. Let’s remember that when Jesus was born, three wise men came to worship him and they brought gifts for him.
Popularly known as the three wise men from the East. The Gold that they gave was to sustain Jesus’ life on earth. Also, remember that the Roman soldiers fought for his seamless garment at the cross and parted it into four pieces and cast lots. This, not forgetting his family trade business, was plumbing.
In this book, I am not saying that Christianity should compete with other religions in terms of the Economy because Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with Christ. God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
‘Beloved, I wish above all that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers’,
“He has redeemed us from the curse of the law so that Abraham’s blessings might come to the Gentiles”. So the issue of prosperity is dealt with in the Bible.
As the scripture says, “he ate honey and butter so that he could not sin”. The number one problem of sin is poverty. “Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28).
God has given a mandate to us Christians to be fruitful and multiply. To be fruitful means to produce, to multiply means to reproduce; to replenish means to distribute; and to subdue means to control the market.
People want the how part; the seven steps of success are a great concept. But how do they achieve that? People want to know how to get money legally, how to prosper.
If we don’t control the market collectively, then we are not fulfilling the mandate that God has given. To dominate the economy is not a suggestion, but it is mandatory. ‘God is our defence and we shall have plenty of money.’ This book will help you to be debt-free and break away from poverty; it will make you dominate the economy individually and collectively as the Body of Christ. – @NewsSA_Online
