UDM ON ITS FEET: Party brings hope and relief to flood victims

The United Democratic Movement (UDM) has once again risen to the occasion, providing vital support to communities hit hard by the devastating June 2025 floods across the Eastern Cape.
On Wednesday, the party distributed food parcels and essential supplies to 680 households in Mthatha and surrounding areas. This marked the second phase of the UDM’s humanitarian response, following a similar relief effort in Butterworth on Saturday, where 481 families received assistance.
The interventions were made possible through a R500,000 relief fund announced by UDM President General Bantu Holomisa - with R300,000 allocated for Mthatha and R200,000 for Butterworth.
