In two formal letters sent this week to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and the South African Football Association (SAFA), the UDM secretary general, Yongama Zigebe, requested an urgent investigation and strong corrective action against the national team coach. On Wednesday, the party distributed food parcels and essential supplies to 680 households in Mthatha and surrounding areas. This marked the second phase of the UDM’s humanitarian response, following a similar relief effort in Butterworth on Saturday, where 481 families received assistance. The interventions were made possible through a R500,000 relief fund announced by UDM President General Bantu Holomisa - with R300,000 allocated for Mthatha and R200,000 for Butterworth.
