US journalist-commentator-cum-podcaster, Tucker Carlson, has warned against the US striking at Iranian nuclear stations, saying that could spark a war that will not only result in the deaths of many Americans but will see a rise in terrorist attacks on American soil.
In a tweet on X posted early this morning, Carlson said: “It’s worth pointing out that a strike on the Iranian nuclear sites will almost certainly result in thousands of American deaths at bases throughout the Middle East and cost the United States tens of billions of dollars. The cost of future acts of terrorism on American soil may be even higher. Those aren’t guesses; those are the Pentagon’s own estimates. A bombing campaign against Iran will set off a war, and it will be America’s war. Don’t let the propagandists lie to you.”
Carlson, a former Fox News channel host and commentator and a famous Donald Trump ally, recently did the unthinkable in the Western media when he traveled to Moscow to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin to get his side of the story on the ongoing Ukrainian-Russian war. Tucker was heavily criticized by fellow American journalists who did not believe in getting the other side of the story and who condemned Russia and Putin as aggressors in the war.
Since Tucker lost his job at Fox News, he has been frequently on social media, including his regular comments on Tucker on X, and currently operates The Tucker Carlson Show podcast. Despite his conservative views, he had time to speak to Putin in his office. But he hasn’t forgotten his conservative side as he recently interviewed Ernst Roets, AfriForum’s diehard, about alleged farm killings in South Africa and the land issue. AfriForum and Solidarity are close allies of the Trump Administration, and they are openly behind the isolation of South Africa by Trump.
It is rare for Western media to give a balanced and objective view of Russia or any other state seen as an enemy of the West, particularly the United States. Any country condemned or sanctioned by the US government is reported negatively in the Western media, creating a particular narrative about that country worldwide. Objective reporting in the West comes through independent media such as online podcasts and YouTube channels that provide alternative views, particularly on matters that the establishment media does not report about. – @NewsSA
