If there was one place to be on Sunday, 19 July, it was the Smirnoff ICE Fan Park at Wakanda Village in Sandton. And, of course, Zee was on the guest list – arriving arm-in-arm with her handsome partner, serving effortless style and reminding everyone that some people simply don’t miss when it comes to fashion.
Let’s just say… the assignment was “look good,” and we both passed with distinction.
While football fans had their eyes glued to the giant screens as Spain battled Argentina in a nail-biting final, Zee couldn’t help but notice another competition unfolding—the unofficial contest for best dressed. Jerseys were out in full force, designer sneakers made their appearance, and sunglasses stayed on long after the sun had gone down. Joburg really knows how to show up!
The tension during the match was enough to have everyone clutching their drinks. Every attack had the crowd roaring, every missed chance had fans holding their heads, and when Spain finally lifted the trophy, Wakanda Village exploded into a sea of celebration. Hugs, cheers, dancing… and yes, a few happy tears too.

But here’s the tea: the party only got bigger after the final whistle.
Slade, EeQue, Dench and Uncool MC turned the venue into the hottest party in Sandton. The music was loud, the energy was infectious and the dance floor? Let’s just say nobody was in a hurry to go home.
One performance everyone was talking about was DJ Wamz, the winner of the Smirnoff ICE DJ Competition. The rising star delivered an Afro-house set that had the crowd moving from beginning to end. If you didn’t know his name before Sunday, you probably do now.
Over the past five weeks, the Smirnoff ICE Fan Park has become more than a place to catch live sport. It has been the place to see and be seen. Friends reunited, new friendships were formed, selfies were taken from every angle, and every weekend felt like a celebration of sport, music and good vibes.

And yes… Zee may have spent a few moments people-watching. Because, let’s be honest, half the fun is spotting who came dressed to impress. Thankfully, your favourite gossip girl and her leading man did not disappoint. Looking good? As usual.
As the lights dimmed and the final beats echoed through Wakanda Village, one thing became crystal clear: Spain may have walked away with the silverware, but the Smirnoff ICE Fan Park won the tournament when it came to unforgettable experiences. Until the next invite… Zee will be ready, dressed to the nines, and bringing you all the tea.- @NewsSA_Online
