The woman is reported to have carried and travelled with the child’s body in a suitcase in a taxi from Mzamba to the Mbizana police station. She travelled a total of approximately 30km to reach the police station, where she dropped off the child and was arrested immediately. The mother is said to have left her three-year-old at home unattended in Mzamba to go meet with her partner on Sunday, 18 May.
